Terra State Community College is located in Fremont, Ohio and is noted for its programs, faculty, state of the art laboratories and its success at getting students into high paying jobs. Terra has received nation-wide recognition for its state of the art labs and programs. It was one of 4 colleges nation-wide to received a MEP Grant from the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) in 2002 for its innovative programs and facilities. Terra with a strong commitment from areas industries has recently infused over $500,000 into new equipment and software to create leading-edge teaching facilities. Our programs, faculty, classrooms and labs will ensure that you receive the skills needed to get into a high paying job.

Terra's Engineering and Technologies Division offers 19 Associates of Applied Science degrees in the following areas; Architectural and Construction Management; Power Technologies (Automotive); 3-D Animation; Web Design Multimedia; Heating Ventilating and Air Conditioning; Industrial Electricity Power and Controls, and Industrial Electricity Programmable Computing Controls; Manufacturing Engineering with Majors in CAD Specialist, Engineering Design, Industrial Maintenance, Manufacturing Technician, and Machining Metal Working; Plastics and Coloring of Plastics; Robotics / Integrated Manufacturing; Welding, Welding Automated Processes and Welding Inspection.

At Terra, you will be taught by instructors who have many years of industrial experience in their career field, and who continue to teach their subject areas directly to area industries. Our faculty also continue to receive extensive training in their area of expertise annually to ensure they are teaching the most up-to-date technology in their classrooms. All faculty have also taken courses in "How to Teach" which ensures your success in the classroom. You will receive individual attention while attending classes at Terra where the average class size in technical classes is 15 students and the average lab size is 12 students.

If you are still in high school, you can start your courses when you are a Junior or Senior as part of a Tech Prep Program which is offered through our area high schools. The Tech Prep offers programs in Manufacturing Engineering, Computers and Networking, and CAD where students can take college course while they are in high school and receive college credit. Students in these programs are enrolled directly in the college courses along with typical college students.

Terra also has an accelerated program in HVAC called the FastTrack which allows you to complete 18 courses that cover every aspect of the Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning field in just 30 weeks.

You can take an individual class, or take a group of classes leading to a certificate or degree. Terra also has a number of ways you can continue your education right in Fremont to complete a Bachelor's Degree with Franklin University, Tiffin University, or Bowling Green State University.
